Safety at TADCO is priority #1

TADCO's management is totally committed to safety, and our employees are equally committed to making it a reality, not only on our job sites, but also throughout the construction community.

Many management hours are spent on safety conferences within the construction industry organizations such as ABC, BEATP, IAEI,  AGC, BICSI  and ECF.  TADCO has been instrumental in helping to organize concise basic, and much needed, safety rules and regulations, and yet be cost effective enough for a contractor to afford to implement them. We also serve on the educational committee of those organizations, to press for quality safety training seminars that we believe our community desperately needs.

An injury-free workplace is part of the overall quality performance commitment we make not only to our customers, but to our employees as well. At TADCO Safety is everyone's responsibility and cannot be stressed too often or too forcefully.  OSHA regulated construction safety on all of our project sites is our long term goal.

Safety History

TADCO Electrical Services is a self-insured company that has a comprehensive corporate safety program, covering both safety and health issues.  However, it is also flexible in nature and can be specifically tailored to meet the safety requirements and concerns of each individual project.

The Electrical Construction Trade safety training begins with the ABCI or BEATP Apprentice Training Programs and is continued by TADCO Electrical Services with job-site safety orientation sessions and through formal and informal site safety training sessions.  The frequency of such training and site meetings is a function of the size and nature of the specific project, but typically site meetings are held weekly.

In addition all supervisors attend annual training programs to provide them the knowledge to confidently manage the safety of their crews.

TADCO performs weekly safety inspections as a standard practice, and may also complete daily inspections, depending on the size and nature of a specific project.  TADCO Corporate Safety Specialists also conduct regular inspections.  On larger projects, a Safety Representative may be assigned part or full time to inspect, coordinate, train and monitor all aspects of the project to ensure compliance and success.

Commitment by both employee and management is necessary for a successful safety program.  TADCO awards "Safety Bucks" that are redeemable for merchandise as an extra incentive to each participating employee.  Our safety ready team is rewarded as a group for meeting established safety goals.
